[00:01:43] Viv: Your, you’re listening. Do without social media with me, Viv Guy, the podcast for people who want more clarity, connections, and cash in their business. [00:02:17] Viv: So let’s start off by talking about the whole six figure thing, okay? It is one of those numbers that gets banded around in the online business space all the time, like some milestone. When you hit six figures, you’ve made it when you’ve hit six figures, whatever it means. Okay? You may not have aspirations to hit six.
[00:02:42] Viv: That might not be for you, and I want to say that is okay. That is absolutely fine. You might say, I just wanna work for myself. I wanna make 30,000 a year, 50,000 a year, whatever that number is for you. But I wanna talk about if you do wanna reach. [00:03:00] Six figures or maybe you know, 50, 60 K and you’re at 20 K or 15 K.
[00:03:05] Viv: Now what you need to do in order to achieve that, what’s different from being at say, two to three K months to growing, to eight to 10 K months while you’re working with one-to-one clients? I’m talking here about service based businesses, not product based business. The first thing we want to look at is pricing.
[00:03:27] Viv: Okay? So to reach eight to 10 cave months, we need to think about our pricing. If you are selling low ticket, sort of, you know, selling your services for 500 pounds, you are gonna need a lot of clients per month to make it to eight to 10 k. First and foremost about looking at your pricing structure and your business model and your offerings, because are you going to reach an income ceiling with the time you have available and the number of clients that you can take on at any given [00:04:00] time, because that might prohibit you from reaching eight to 10 K months.
[00:04:04] Viv: So the first thing is I want you to think about your pricing and your capacity. So can you actually make eight to 10 k a. Working with a reasonable number of clients that still allows you to work on the business on your marketing. So a good sort of 40 to 50% of your week on the business and on marketing activities while still serving your clients.
[00:04:26] Viv: Okay, so that’s the first question. If not, then it may be time for you to start looking at a different model for your business and moving away from just one to one. Services. So bringing in a group offering, if you are reaching that point where you are capacity and you are hitting an income ceiling, if you want support with that, you need to go and speak to Gemma Gilbert because she is the absolute authority on scaling and creating group programs without ever having to do [00:05:00] ick.
[00:05:00] Viv: Launches absolutely amazing. I’ve been through her program, absolutely phenomenal. So, but let’s say you can, working with one-to-one clients, reach eight to 10 K a month. You absolutely can with within your pricing, within your offer and your model. Okay? So that’s the first thing. So you might also have the option here of increasing your prices.
[00:05:21] Viv: So before you look to maybe go to a group module, have you increased your price? Now you can always increase your prices. This is your business. You can increase your prices. And that is another way. If you’re kind of thinking, well, I’m not getting to, you know, pass these three to four K months, can you put your prices up?
[00:05:40] Viv: Can you put them up 20%, 25%, 50%? What figure can you put them up to that’s gonna help you grow and move from the position you are in now? Okay, here’s the next thing. Leads. Leads is the biggest barrier and obstacle for anyone I [00:06:00] work with. This is where they are stuck. This is where my clients who come to work with me when they begin are stuck at 3, 4, 5 K months, maybe two K months, whatever that starting point is, and they are.
[00:06:11] Viv: They are stuck and have plateaued on bringing in more leads. So they are looking at a way to start bringing in and generating more leads without having to post organically on social media because it’s exhausting, it’s time consuming, and for a lot of people it’s just not their jam anymore. They just don’t like that.
[00:06:30] Viv: By being bound to social media, and we know you have to create such a lot of content, so how do you generate leads? I’ve talked about this time and time again. If you think of it as you know, funnel, it is a funnel. It’s called a funnel or a pipeline. The more people you bring in at the top, the more people come out of the bottom.
[00:06:50] Viv: So if you are looking to get more clients, we’ve gotta bring more people in at the top, more people sort of becoming aware of use. It’s about getting in front of people that [00:07:00] you are currently a stranger to bringing more people in and converting those into leads. So emails, subscribers. So that is the next big thing and there are plenty of episodes and you hear talking about lead generation and I will reference those in the show notes.
[00:07:16] Viv: The next thing is systems. And I love systems and a lot of people who come to work with me say, I just love how slick your systems are now. Hey guys, I am. I ain’t perfect. There are definit. Cockups within some of the things that I do, especially when it’s a new system, when it’s been there a while, you know, it’s fine, it’s implemented.
[00:07:38] Viv: But as you know, if we create something new there, there can be screw ups where human beings at the end of the day. Um, but systems are the things that are really going to help you automating and systems, uh, standard operating procedures because I don’t want you having to use your brain bandwidth on trying to.
[00:07:59] Viv: [00:08:00] Reinvent and kind of figure out the steps to take on something you’ve done a million times before. I don’t want you to be spending really valuable precious time doing things that can be automated that are gonna save you time and allow you to allocate your time to the big revenue generating activities that you are, you know, good at the lead generating activities.
[00:08:21] Viv: Okay? So I want you to really be thinking about what can you. To, to automate and to bring more systems into place. What can you do to automate your lead conversion process? So getting leads converted into, um, into prospective sales calls. What can you be doing? What can you be automating? Can you automate and create, um, quotations or work for workflows within if your CRM.
[00:08:48] Viv: What can you do that will save you a lot of time by not having to redo things manually time and time again. Here’s the big thing though. The [00:09:00] big thing though is gonna change things for you, and this is discipline and I say this, you know, having experienced this myself, okay, so let’s talk about what I mean by.
[00:09:14] Viv: Being disciplined enough to commit to doing the things you need to do to achieve your goals, regardless of how you feel. So you feel like you can’t be bothered, you’re worried about people rejecting you. You do it anyway. It’s the courage I was chatting to my accountability body. Kaia yesterday. We haven’t caught in ages.
[00:09:33] Viv: She was telling me about a great book she’s read, and it talks about this, this courage. What you need is courage. Courage, discipline. The courage to just say, I’m gonna do this anyway. The discipline to say, I’m going to do this regardless, because when you show up, when you do that stuff, Regardless of how, whether you can be asked or feel like it or not, that is when you shift the goal post, and this is what I see is a big [00:10:00] thing that people lack, especially when it comes to lead generation, is the discipline to commit to doing lead generation activities consistently every day, every week, every month, which.
[00:10:13] Viv: That is for you, whether it’s weekly or a daily activity, and this is where the problems arise. If you are not com committed to do that, you are not bringing enough people in. You are not gonna get the results you need from the bottom of your funnel. , there’s a big difference. You can say. Yeah, well, I, I really wanna do this.
[00:10:28] Viv: I really committed, you know, I, I really have this. Vision of, of great coal. That’s motivation. That’s what gets you out the starting block. Okay. Flag Running. Running, isn’t it? So it is like running. I used to run. Okay. Not marathons. Never been a marathon runner. Used to run 10 K. Okay. That was enough for me, but when I started.
[00:10:47] Viv: When I start running and I haven’t run properly for ages, so I need to get back into it and I’m motivated. I’m like, yes, I’m really looking forward to running it. But when I get out and it’s hard and I’m like that 10 K feels a long way, or doing it [00:11:00] within a certain timeframe, that feels really, really hard.
[00:11:02] Viv: What I have to do is commit. I have to be disciplined to committing to do the thing that’s gonna get me to achieve my goals, and that means. Three times a week. That means, you know, working out, stretching, eating correctly, doing all those things that are gonna help me get back into my running. So I ask you if you sit and just take a moment to reflect, where are you not being disciplined enough in your business?
[00:11:31] Viv: What are the things that you let. Slide because we all do it, and I am not talking about this. In order to make you feel guilty or shitty about yourself, I just want to raise awareness because when I have looked at, when times have not gone as well for me within my business, and it’s happened this year, I’ve not hit goals at times.
[00:11:52] Viv: There’s been other months where I’ve smashed my goals. What has. It’s the times where I’ve just not had the [00:12:00] discipline to do the things that I am needing to do to move the needle forward, to reach my goals. It’s felt too hard. That’s what will move the needle for you in your business and help you grow and scale to the position you want more than anything else.
[00:12:17] Viv: Is that Discipl? So they have it, my friends.
