Privacy policy
This page sets out what Tap & Spin collects, why, and the rights you have over that information under Australian privacy law. We collect very little, and we sell none of it.

Tap & Spin is an independent information site, not a gambling operator, and we do not ask readers to create an account, deposit funds, or hand over identity documents to use this site. That keeps the amount of personal information we handle deliberately small. This policy explains what we do collect, how long we keep it, and how to exercise your rights over it under Australian law.
The law this policy is written under
This policy is written to comply with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the thirteen Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) it sets out, which govern how organisations covered by the Act must collect, use, store and disclose personal information. We handle any personal information reaching us through this site in line with those principles.
What data we collect
Our web server automatically records standard server logs when a page is requested: the visiting IP address, browser and device type, the page requested, the referring page, and the date and time of the request. This is standard technical logging used by essentially every website for security monitoring and basic traffic analysis, and it is not linked to a name or account, since we do not operate accounts. If you email us at [email protected], we retain that message and your email address for as long as needed to respond and to keep a reasonable record of the correspondence.
We do not ask visitors for a name, date of birth, address or payment detail anywhere on this site, and we have no reason to, since we run no cashier, no login and no checkout of any kind. If a future page ever did need to collect something beyond a log entry or an email, this policy would be updated first to describe it plainly before that collection began.
Cookies
This site uses functional cookies only, the kind needed for basic technical operation such as remembering that you've dismissed a notice. We do not run advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and we do not build an advertising profile of visitors. Most browsers let you view, block or delete cookies through their own settings if you prefer not to accept even functional ones, though some page features may not behave correctly without them.
How long we keep data
Server logs are retained only as long as needed for security and technical troubleshooting purposes before being routinely cleared. Email correspondence is kept for a reasonable period to allow follow-up and record-keeping, and is deleted once it no longer serves a genuine purpose. We do not retain personal information indefinitely as a matter of course.
Your rights, and how to complain
Under the Australian Privacy Principles, you can ask what personal information we hold about you and request that inaccurate information be corrected. Given how little we collect, in most cases this will simply be a server log entry or an email you sent us yourself. To make a request, contact us using the details below. If you believe we have mishandled your personal information and are not satisfied with our response, you can lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC), the independent regulator responsible for privacy complaints in Australia.
External links
Pages on this site link to external sources such as government and payments-industry sites for further reading. Once you follow a link away from vivguy.com, that site's own privacy policy applies, not ours, and we have no control over how those sites handle your data. We link only to a small, whitelisted set of official sources relevant to the topic at hand.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy if our practices change or if privacy law is updated. The date below reflects the last update, and continuing to use the site after a change means the updated policy applies to you.
Contact us
For any privacy question, correction request, or complaint, email [email protected]. If your message concerns a gambling-related worry rather than a privacy matter, Gambling Help Online on 1800 858 858 is a faster, more appropriate first call, since that line is staffed around the clock and we are not a support service ourselves.
